Congratulations to Shellie & Mike and Emma & Tom

Our congratulations go to Shellie & Mike who held their reception at Wharton Park in Bewdley and Emma & Tom who held their reception at Dumbleton Hall - both taking place on Saturday.

Both couples took our all inclusive 44" chocolate fountain hire and we used a baby pink and cala lilly theme for Shellie and a wine red and ivory scheme for Emma.

Many congratulations to both couples - we hope you had a lovely day!

Congratulations to Jackie & Andrew and Haze & Richard

Two weddings for us on Saturday, such a relief the weather was great for a change!

Tania headed down to Wiltshire to look after Jackie and Andrew at Cricklade House.  Jackie had booked us for a combination of fruit palm tree, candy buffet and chocolate fountain.  The day was split, so that the candy and fruit was available before the wedding breakfast and the chocolate fountain was started for the evening reception.  It was around 11 hours on site at Cricklade, but everything ran like clockwork.  A massive bonus that they have such stunning scenery and a lovely spot off the terrace where Tania and Teresa were able to sit out with a coke in between set ups... Thanks to Jackie for the booking and our congratulations to you both.

Eddy meanwhile was out at the Tamworth Moat House for Haze and Richard's wedding day.  Haze had some problems with the initial planning stage, having to change the hotel, the date and then the numbers...but it was absolutely not a problem and we sorted everything at our end and the day went brilliantly.

Eddy had a great time...we both got in around 12.45am and he was wearing a candy necklace (as one of the bridesmaids had insisted)...on Sunday morning, he was still wearing the necklace...it had been quite a long day!

Love and best wishes to Haze & Richard who were a lovely couple to deal with and Haze's emails made Tania laugh - great sense of humour!  (And as promised, no lemons Haze)!!!

Happy Birthday to Milly

It was Milly's 1st birthday party on Sunday and her mum Rukshana, booked us to take along a chocolate fountain for her party at Al Faisal's in Small Heath.  Rukshana had stayed up until 2am in the previous day decorating the room with lots of balloons, banners and every chair had sashes and pink flowers...perfect for a little girl's 1st birthday.

There was a childrens' magician and face painter also there, who kept the kids happy as well as a lovely meal.

As ever, we were really well looked after by everyone (we loved the birthday cake) and a special thanks to the staff at Al Faisals who loaded us up with so much food to take home, we were still finishing it off on Monday night...absolutely gorgeous.  We will definitely be going back as customers when we get a night off!  Thanks to Rukshana for a lovely afternoon and I hope you managed to get the teddy out of the ice block for Milly!!

Lots of congratulations!

It's been a few busy weeks for us with lots happening, weddings, christenings and birthdays, so here are a few more congratulations..

Firstly to Rich and Janice who held their reception at The Lower Lode Inn at Tewkesbury.  Fortunately the weather stayed dry and we had a fantastic time taking a chocolate fountain package for the guests and followed a lovely pastel blue colour scheme.  The hall was absolutely transformed using satin sheeting on the ceiling to give it a wonderful marquee effect...I imagine it must have been such a lot of hard work decorating the hall, but it was most definitely worth it - it looked really wonderful.  There was a gorgeous border collie as a guest, complete with a dickie bow, giving Eddy a run for his money in style stakes...such a fun day and a very nice couple to work with.  Thanks for the superb testimonial on our Facebook page, we were really thrilled!!

Earlier that morning we were delivering a fruit display to the Desi Nawab in Alum Rock for a wedding with approximately 350 guests.  The 5.5ft fruit palm was the focal point of the display and we added platters of cut and whole fruits using canteloupe, galia, honeydew and water melons, pineapple, strawberries, grapes, cherries, oranges, honey mango, apples, bananas and blueberries.  Add in a few fruit carvings and some lighting, it was a lovely table for everyone as they walked in.

Aaron and Rosie held their reception at The Pear Tree in Smite on Saturday and we took along our 44" chocolate fountain together with a large martini glass of mixed retro sweets.   Rosie looked fabulous in her beautiful wedding dress and Aaron scrubbed up very well too.  A lovely couple and another great wedding.

Something blue..

We had a lovely christening on Sunday...Laura, Julie and Rob wanted to do something just that little bit different and decided to try our coloured white chocolate fountain for their boys christening party.

We can colour white chocolate by using a candy colouring which doesn't taint the flavour of the chocolate at all.  We produced a gorgeous baby blue fountain and finished the theme by popping a blue teddy on the top of the fountain.  I'm normally a milk chocolate fan, but must admit after trying the white chocolate I'm now undecided - it was that good.  Barry Callebaut white chocolate is really lovely and I'm just hoping that we will get more bookings on the white chocolate - it's definitely worth a go if you're considering it.

We also took along our champagne swan in which we sank the boys' names and also popped in a Liverpool FC logo to keep grandad happy...it really was a lovely afternoon.

Thanks to Laura and her family who were all so lovely and kept us stocked up on the buffet and a couple of drinks too - really appreciated - thanks guys!

Congratuations to Emma & John

Congratulations go to Emma & John who held their reception at the Worcestershire Country Cricket (which is fast becoming a second home to us these past couple of months).

Emma & John held their reception in the marquee overlooking the County Ground.  I'm pleased to say that the weather behaved and we all had a lovely evening.  Ruby Williams provided her gorgeous pig roast and we too our large 44" fountain, decorated to a white colour scheme.

It was John's mother, Carolyn who had booked the fountain as a special treat having seen us at a wedding fayre which we did earlier on in the year at The Diglis Hotel.  Thanks to Carolyn and I hoped you all enjoyed it as much as we did.

We'll be exhibiting at the Worcestershire County Cricket Club's wedding fayre on Sunday 25 September 2011, so pop along to sample our lovely chocolate and to see our famous fruit palm trees (this time with a bit of a twist)!

Congratulations Nige & Michelle

Big congratulations to Nige and Michelle who held their reception at WCCC.

We took out our party package two which provided our 4ft fruit palm tree, candy buffet and chocolate fountain hire and added our heart cluster ice sculpture.

As Nige and Michelle tied the knot in Vegas, we followed a red, black and white colour scheme together with a deck of cards on our topper and lots of poker chip chocolate discs.

Another fab wedding with a brilliant first dance by the bride a groom and a surprise visit from Elvis (aka Nige) later that evening.

A special mention to Lord Geoffrey the Balloon Man who was out of this world.  I've never seen balloon art like this...links to follow.  If you can book him then do...he was absolutely amazing!!!

Congratulations to Sam & Craig!

On Friday we were at Dumbleton Hall, booked by Sam and Craig for their wedding day.  They had asked us to provide our champagne swans as their table centres, which we decorated with pale pink organza, roses, gysophila and pale pink table crystals.  We popped bottles of white wine for the table in between the wings and uplighted the sculptures with pink and white lighting.  They looked absolutely stunning.

We popped back later to empty the drip trays and then after the wedding breakfast was finished, moved the sculptures outside...there was a row of 9 swans lined up...Ed said it looked like Slimbridge.

What a party!!!

We provided our retro candy buffet and put a lovely picture of Sam & Craig on the table just to personalise it.  We also set up our large 4ft fruit palm tree, which came with rapsberry and mango coulis and fresh cream.

To top it off, we also took our large 44" chocolate fountain and carried the pale pink theme again with roses and gysophia.

The guests didn't know what to go for first and for the rest of the night all we heard were smatterings of comments about, chocolate, sweet table, fruit trees and ice sculptures.  It was a huge hit.

Big thanks to Dumbleton Hall, who are fast becoming a favourite venue for us.  They were absolutely fantastic in sorting out the various tables we needed and have always been really helpful.

Also a big thanks to Sam and Craig for the booking.  They are a fab couple and we've really enjoyed working with them on this.  There was a lot to pull together for this event and we'd spent several months planning it (especially with 9 champagne swans during a really busy wedding season).  It was a huge thrill setting it all up and seeing everyone's faces.

Congratulations!

Our congratulations goes firstly to Joanne & Paul who held their wedding reception at the Malvern Rugby Club.  We'd followed a burgundy and silver scheme for the fountain using burgundy roses and contrasting silver napkins and took along a champagne swan ice sculpture.

Many thanks to Malvern Rugby Club for making us so welcome (and for the lovely cuppa)!  We had a really lovely afternoon and met so lovely people.

Further congratulations also go to April & Brett who held their ceremony and reception at Parkfields Country House Hotel in Ross on Wye.

April had chosen a dark purple theme and we decorated her chocolate fountain with scented stocks, ivory roses and a deep purple satin table runner and topped with a contemporary style topper.

Another lovely venue in a stunning location, fantastic guests and the end to a busy but very lovely Saturday.

Congratulations to Gemma & Duncan

Many congratulations to Gemma & Duncan who held their wedding reception at The Kings Court Hotel, Alcester on Saturday.

Whilst Tania was at the WCCC, Eddy took another fountain package to tempt the guests at the Kings Court.  He based the fountain surround on a black and ivory theme (this is becoming a really popular wedding colour scheme for this year and is such a good contrast).  Eddy said it was a great wedding and a really busy night at the fountain, which proved to be very popular with everyone.  There was also a Soul band performing for the guests and Eddy said they were brilliant.  It was another really great night - we've been so lucky with our bookings to have such nice clients and customers.

Here are a few pictures from Gemma & Duncan's special day...

Congratulations to Nicky & Sean

Saturday saw us down at one of our favourites venues, The WCCC.

Nicky had booked us to provide our Package Two being our Candy Buffet, Fruit Palm tree and Chocolate Fountain hire.  I'm pleased to say it went down an absolute storm as there was something for everyone.

Nicky had named her tables after the sweets she had chosen for her candy buffet and it worked so well.  People were so surprized when the found the candy table and the sweets that their table was named after...what a brilliant touch!

The fruit palm was devoured...we supplied a strawberry and butterscotch sauce to accompany the tree and this made a nice alternative to the sweets.

A little later into the evening we started our chocolate fountain, which was decorated in lipstick pink and ivory roses and gypsophila.  We also used cut glass around the display, which I think just adds a little bit extra for a special day.

Nicky & Sean had a fabulous day and also booked a bouncy castle for the kids to burn off all the sugar and also lovely Hog Roast from Rubys.  A really great day, with lots to chose from.  Steve from Midlands Leisure provided the photography through the whole day and these had already been uploaded for everyone to see by the end of the evening.  You don't get much quicker than that!  Good job Steve!

Congratulations to William & Vicky - The Granary Hotel

The sun really did come out on Friday for William & Vicky's wedding day.  Vicky booked us nearly 12 months ago for her special day and we took our 44" chocolate fountain and champagne swan ice sculpture.

Nicky's theme was apple green and dragonfiles, so we matched this with organza, fresh green crysanths and some lovely little handmade dragonfiles which we scattered around the display.

Thanks to Simon and the staff at The Granary, who were really accommodating to us (this was the first time we have visited The Granary) - a lovely wedding on a scorching day.

Congratulations to Shabna

We were at Highbury Hall on Sunday, providing our 4ft chocolate fountain for Shabna's wedding.  We're really pleased that we have managed to source some great halal marshmallows from a local supplier in Worcester and I must say that they tasted really good!

Shabna had chosen halal dips and a very elegant surround, using white crockery, roses and lillies and introducing a very subtle pale pink.  We didn't provide a topper (on request) and arrived just a little earlier than originally anticipated, to fit in with the room change over plans.

I'm pleased to say, it all went like clockwork and we had a fab day.  As you'll see from the gallery, Shabna looked absolutely beautiful.

Keeping it fruity!

Well, this weekend has been a little different.   No chocolate, but lots of fruit.  As the summer is coming, our fruit palm trees are going out in style.  This weekend we've prepared a large 5.5ft 'simply both' palm tree to Paul for his wedding reception at the Worcestershire County Cricket Club.  Paul tied the knot in Mauritius and held a reception for family and friends at the Cricket Club.  To keep the theme, we provided our 5.5ft fruit palm, but used the top couple of tiers to pin sweets.  We decorated his surround with some conch shells (compliments of a holiday to Jamaica) and used sweet filled fresh coconuts on his display and scattered with Love Hearts.

We've also taken a 4ft fresh fruit palm tree and fresh fruit platters to Sophia at the Desi Nawab in Alum Rock for her wedding.  We decorated Sophia's palm with fresh fruit melon carvings and aqua organza.  The hall was simply stunning with a fabulous mehndi stage and over 400 guests. Such a wonderful venue and fantastic transformation.  I'm still surprised how a large room or hall can be totally transformed so beautifully.  Absolutely stunning.  Check out http://www.asianweddingstage.net/ to see what these guys can do...brilliant!

I must say we're so happy that the British Strawberry season is here.  Until recently we have been using Spanish strawberries, but it's so good to use fruit in season in the UK.  This year's strawberries look and taste fantastic!

Happy Birthday to Steve of Midlands Leisure Group

Whilst Tania and Ben were looking after Naomi and Phil, Eddy was off to La Brasserie in Kidderminster to set up a 40 ice sculpture and our 36" fountain for Steve's 40th Birthday bash.

We originally met Steve at the WCCC (Steve runs Midlands Leisure and does a lot of work at the Club), so we were thrilled when he asked us to come along to his birthday party.

No-one went hungry this night; after a three course meal they then had the fountain to tuck into!

Tania was sorry she couldn't come along, but loved the birthday cake Eddy bought home (chocolate of course)!  Thanks Steve - hope you had a fantastic night!!!

Congratulations Naomi and Phil at WCCC

Saturday saw us taking our 44" chocolate fountain package along to the marquee at the Worcestershire County Cricket Club.  Naomi had booked us well in advance last year for her wedding reception and chose a very pale pink colour scheme for her special day.  We decorated her display with antique cut glass, pale pink organza and used fresh pale pink roses and gysophilia.  We also took along our lotus flower ice sculpture.

Thanks as always to Steve and the team at the Club.  We have 8 weddings booked in so far this year at the Cricket Club and must say we always have such a great time as we know so many of the staff.

This was a lovely wedding and Phil said the weather managed to stay fine to get some great photo's on the pitch.  It was a bit blustery during the evening, but with the chocolate fountain, hog roast, bar and DJ, no-one was bothered at all!

Tania & Ben were delighted to look after Naomi, Phil and their guests meanwhile Eddy was about and about in Kidderminster for a 40th birthday party...

Congratulations Lisa & Simon, The Holiday Inn, Gloucester

Friday night we were off to Gloucester for Lisa's wedding.  Having spent a good 15 minutes driving around in circles around Gloucester, we decided to ditched the Sat Nav and found the venue.

Lisa has chosen a lovely hunter green colour theme for her fountain and this is one colour we haven't done many events with.  It's such a good choice if using fresh flowers as the foilage sits perfectly with the colour and looks very natural and fresh.

We had a mini competition with some of the kids for them to make a dip display on their plates, which was great fun (how high can you build a marshmallow, fudge, strawberry tower)??!!??

A big welcome to Teresa who is now part of our Fantastic team.  Tania and Teresa go back at least 20 years, so when the 80's hits started to play they couldn't help jigging about a bit - a lot of fun!

Thanks to the staff at The Holiday who made our job easy and their luggage trolleys came in very handy for moving equipment!!

Hope Lisa and Simon have a great time in Mexico!!

Congratulations Summer on your wedding day...

Congratulations to Summer who booked us to cater for 250 guests at her reception at The Copthorne Hotel, Merry Hill.  Summer had given us a cadbury purple and gold theme to work from.

What we did is create a lovely contemporary fountain topper which stood at an impressive 14" on its own.  We think these toppers really do finish off a fountain....they look bare without one now to us!

We decorated the surround using a gold satin table cloth, with a gold crystal fringe to edge the table, a cadbury purple table runner and used gold petals, purple organza and flowers on the surround.  We used our cut glass bowls which are lovely and finished it all off by providing an ice pillar in which we suspended two purple flowers.  Summer chose a totally vegetarian menu which worked beautifully.  All our fruits are kept in cool boxes, so are completely fresh when they go out onto our display.  The Belgian chocolate we use is also suitable for vegetarians, so this was absolutely no problem at all.  It's worth noting that every display and topper we provide is included within our standard prices.  We like our fountains to give more than just a WOW factor.

Double congratulations to...

our last brides of April 2011.

Congratulations to the lovely Rachel.  Rachel held her reception at The Pear Tree in Smite and followed a great contrasting purple, silver and hot pink colour scheme.  Tania and Ben looked after Rachel and her guests. Tania was most touched that after the first dance with new husband Brad, she then had a dance with her father which was very touching to watch and a proud moment.  Thanks to Yvonne, Rachel's mum for booking us - it was a lovely day!

Meanwhile, Eddy was doing his stuff at Pengethley Manor in Ross-on-Wye, with Hannah, the latest edition to our Fantastic team.  Rebecca had booked us for her special day and chose a midnight blue, lemon and silver colour scheme.  It was our first visit to Pengethley Manor and Eddy was very impressed with the hotel and especially the staff, who he said were so very nice and helpful.  Rebecca followed in the steps of the Royal wedding by changing out of her wedding dress into a stunning long length midnight blue number for her evening reception.  A special mention to Chris Ogleby of Ogleby Butchers based in Hereford, who did a fabulous hog roast - Eddy was very impressed and Chris was a great guy...again another great wedding to end April and a fantastic and very memorable Wedding weekend
.

Congratulations to Jo and George!

Many congratulations to Jo and George (aka Bungle) on their wedding day.

Jo booked us, all the way from Australia, to provide our 36" fountain and champagne swan for her wedding reception in a beautiful marquee in Clifton on Teme.

There was a great wedding breakfast by Plyvine, a fantastic Hog Roast from The Crunchy Pig (with the best crackling we've seen by far) and country dancing by Cut the Mustard.  Unfortunately we didn't get the name of the mobile bar who were also fantastic, so if you see this then please let us have your details!

Such a wonderful wedding on a fabulous day....

Congratulations Vicky & Andy

Friday was the wedding day of Vicky & Andy who held their reception at the lovely Aylestone Court Hotel in Hereford.  Vicky contacted us after her original supplier disappeared without a trace, so we were more than happy to step in.

Vicky chose our 36" fountain, table top fruit palm and champagne swan which we decorated to tie into her midnight blue and ivory colour scheme.

We had a real giggle at this event, especially when Eddy had a wardrobe malfunction and his shirt popped out to his waist!  I said he looked like Tom Jones, to which he quickly replied "it's not unusual."  Oh dear...you really needed to be there!!

Thanks to the staff at the Aylestone Court Hotel who made us so welcome and to Vicky & Andy and their families and friends - a really lovely group of people and a lot of fun!

We took quite a few photo's and here's a few that I couldn't resist sharing...priceless!  This is what it's all about!!

Chocolate Face

Zack's special day

Sunday we were in our home town of Worcester for little Zack's christening party.  Tina, Zack's mum, booked us to provide our 36" fountain for her afternoon party, which we decorated with pale baby blue organza, white tulips and a contrasting blue ostrich feather fountain topper.  As a surprise, we also took along our ice kebab holders but froze in a plush toy elephant in the one.  The kids had a great time figuring out how it got in the ice and afterwards trying to get it out!

The kebab holders are a great way of personalising a party as there is a whole host of items we can freeze in...here's the elephant...Thanks to Tina for the booking, we hoped you all enjoyed it as much as we did (even the grown ups)!!

Zack - Chocolate Fountain

Congratulations Bernie & Andrew

Saturday night we were at the wedding of Bernie & Andrew, who held their reception at the Westley Hotel, Acocks Green, Birmingham.

Bernie had decided not to have a wedding cake but instead took our 44" chocolate fountain.  Bernie had chosen a pale pink theme and we decorated our surround with cream and pale pink roses and fresh rose petals.  It was also a good chance for us to try out some vintage glassware and we used a glass cake stand to pyramid the profiteroles and to add that little touch of elegance.

Another really lovely wedding and Bernie looked stunning (you'll see from the pictures) - Andrew scrubbed up pretty well too!

Bernie - Chocolate fountain

Bridal Fayre - Copthorne Hotel, Merry Hill

This Sunday will see us at an Asian Bridal Fayre being held at the Copthorne Hotel Merry Hill.  Many thanks to Perminder for contacting us and asking to exhibit.... we're looking forward to it!  We will be there from 11am until 5pm, so be sure to come along to get your chocolate fix!

During the next couple of days we will be busily be preparing for the Fayre and relaxing by sitting back and carving a few watermelons and mango's to sit around our fruit palm tree displays.  Check back for the pictures!

Next weekend we have a wedding and a christening booked - it's the start of a massively busy next 12 months for us, which is absolutely fantastic!  Only trouble is we may have to create another gallery to fit all the pictures in!

Surprise!!! Happy Birthday Lee

Happy Birthday to Lee!   Lee's wife, Tina organised a surprise Birthday party which she themed around Liverpool FC.  The look on Lee's face when he entered the room was priceless.

Tina pulled off a live band, DJ, a lovely birthday cake and we took along our 44" chocolate fountain and 2.5ft fruit palm tree for Lee's birthday, with family and friends coming from all over to be there.  She decorated the room with Liverpool FC flags, beer mats, napkins and had some brilliant balloon displays.

We carried theme by using a Liverpool FC flag as the fountain topper and found some great Liverpool Subbuteo players which we placed around the fountain display.  We also decorated the surround with red and white rose petals and red and black organza.

Tina even managed to bring along an Elvis fancy dress costume for Lee to change into.

We had a great time preparing in secret with Tina for the party - a great night and a lot of fun!

Subbuteo - chocolate Fountain

Having a ball at Worcester Racecourse

We spent Saturday night providing our services for Prince Henrys High Valentines Ball at Worcester Racecourse, serving over 200 students with a chocolate fix.

Originally we were booked to do this just before Christmas, but because of the snow, the organisers had to postpone the party as the coaches couldn't get into Worcester.  I'm pleased to say it was well worth the wait in the end.

Sophia did a great job organising and the staff at the Racecourse we're brilliant and made us feel very welcome.

We used the school logo as part of our fountain topper and also used it in an iced kebab holder which everyone loved.

The queue was never ending and they certainly kept us on our toes all night...a really great party and a lovely bunch of students...

School prom chocolate

Happy Birthday Linda!

It was a 50th birthday with a 50's theme for Linda on Saturday night.

Lin looked fabulous dressed as Marilyn Monroe and gave a fantastic performance of Diamonds are a Girls Best Friend.  What a voice!  We had everyone from Spivs, T-Birds, Pink Ladies, Queen of Hearts, Madhatter, Pan-Am Stewardesses, Audrey Hepburn, a 1950's Pilot and plenty of other costumes too...

Special thanks to Matt for the last minute booking (and offering us some of the lovely buffet).  It was a really fun party with a great atmosphere - everyone looked amazing!

Wedding Fayre - 16th January 2011

We will be exhibiting at The Bank House Country Hotel on Sunday 16th January 2011, doors open at 11am.

So if you've not already met us and would like to sample our gorgeous Belgian chocolate then please pop along.  We'll also be taking a small 2.5ft fruit palm, a giant Martini glass filled with some of our sweets from our Candy Buffet together with one of our ice sculptures. It's sure to be a great event!

First party of 2011

Well, after a very short break over Christmas we've started 2011 with a party for Inbev, which they held at Fever Nightclub in Gloucester.

Inbev booked us for our 36" fountain plus our great 2.5ft fruit palm tree.

We had a great night at Fever.  The staff were a lovely bunch.  Also thanks to Rachel at Inbev for looking after us so well too.  The food was great - thank you!

A really nice event to start 2011 and next, tomorrow a 21st Birthday in Symmonds Yat.

Inbev Chocolate fountain

Our last wedding of 2010...

Our last wedding for 2010 was a reception in the marquee at Nailcote Hall for Nigel and Sarah's wedding day.  It certainly was memorable.

They chose a theme of "winter wonderland" and completely transformed the marquee.  Each table had huge crystal candleabras, there were giant snowflakes suspended from the ceiling, snow coated pine trees, a snowman, reindeer (plus a sleigh and presents), sparkling silver trees and a spruce wreath for the buffet table and topped off with a fabulous star cloth ceiling.  Add to this candles, uplighting and fairy lights and it provides one beautiful setting.

Nigel and Sarah are such a lovely couple to deal with and we wish them many congratulations and a well done for creating such a beautiful marquee.

So, with no rest for the wicked, we've said goodbye to a great 2010 and are now planning our first booking on 2011 being this Friday....it's going to be a busy year!

Congratulations Jules! Diglis Hotel, Worcester

Another weekend and another fabulous wedding.  This Saturday saw us at The Diglis Hotel in Worcester providing a gorgeous chocolate fountain for Jules' Wedding Day.  Jules looked absolutely fantastic in a stunning sparkling gold dress...and her bridesmaids wore red satin.  It really was a lovely colour scheme for a December wedding and the room at the Diglis was full of colour and looked stunning.

A great way to start off December!

Congratulations Corinne and Adam

Whilst I was at Fownes with Ben looking after Lee and Sarah, Eddy was at Eastwood Park with our new glamorous assistant Joy, providing another large fountain to celebrate Corinne & Adam's special day.

Eddy would like to thank the staff at Eastwood Park who were incredibly nice and helpful, namely Chris, Terri and Paul.  Thanks guys for making our job easy.  Another lovely wedding at a gorgeous venue.

Also a special mention for Rhys, Corinne's son who certainly needed a loyalty card for the chocolate fountain and was our best customer all evening!

Children Chocolate fountain

Congratulations Lee & Sarah

It may be cold outside, but that didn't stop Lee & Sarah on their special day.  They jetted off to Mauritius to say their vows in the sun and followed it up with a fabulous party at the Fownes Hotel for their family and friends.

Thanks to Julie at Fownes for her help as always!

Happy 1st Birthday to Princess Hessa

Sunday saw us at The Royal Hotel, Walsall for little Hessa's 1st Birthday Party...and what a party it was.

We took along 2 giant fruit palms, the champagne fountain and our 44" chocolate fountain.

The children (and adults) were spoilt for choice with eveything on offer including candy floss and popcorn station, bouncy castle, a clown act and a four piece band.  As well as all this the guests were served a fabulous meal and we would like to thank everyone for insisting that we sat down to join them with the meal...We went away absolutely thrilled with the event and certainly not hungry!

Here's how little Hessa arrived for her party...and her beautiful Birthday Cake...

Big congratulations to Mr and Mrs Jason Brazil, who held their reception at the fabulous Ardencote Manor, Claverdon.  Gaby and Jason decided on our 4ft palm Simply Both fruit/sweet tree and the large 44" chocolate fountain and were looked after by Ben and Eddy.  Tania meanwhile was locked in the kitchen preparing two giant fruit palm trees for the next day..

Thanks to the staff at Ardencote who were extremely helpful especially Jane and Stefan.

Another great wedding and a lovely bunch of people too!

Happy Birthday Kim!

Kim made sure her 30th Birthday party went with a bang by holding it on 5 November at Leftbank in Hereford.  The night outside might have been miserable but Kim's party certainly wasn't!  Happy Birthday Kim!

Congratulations to Tiffany & Ian

Many congratulations to Tiffany & Ian, who held their reception at The Britannia Hotel, Wolverhampton.  Also thanks to the hotel staff for your help with the parking police!!

Congratulations to Cath & Simon

Eddy went off to Llangattock on Saturday to The Old Rectory Country Hotel & Golf Club in Powys.  Cath & Simon were celebrating their wedding day.  It was a nice intimate wedding with close family and friends.   Cath & Simon provided Mr Magic to entertain the children, our 36" fountain and a great disco called Audio FX who got everyone up all night.  Was it the music, the sugar rush or a bit of both?? Mmm...

Eddy wanted to say a special thanks to Tom and Andy who were very helpful and understood Ed's English accent!!

Another great wedding...

Congratulations to Christos & Tracy & Christos!!

It was a double celebration for Christos & Tracy on Saturday.  Firstly their wedding day and secondly Christos' 40th Birthday.

They held their party at the Worcestershire County Cricket Club in the fabulous Graeme Hick Pavillion and guests were entertained by a great band and disco.  I'm not sure whether the Ouzo was flowing, but there was plenty of Greek dancing which was brilliant to see.

If you're visiting the Bath Road Chippy, say congratulations to Christos!

Introducing our luxury hand dipped strawberries...

Due to popular request, we are now introducing a range of luxurious hand dipped strawberries to our fountain, candy and palm tree bookings.

We pick the biggest and freshest strawberries we can find and cover them in the finest Belgian chocolate (milk, dark or white....or a bit of each)!  Bride and Groom strawberries are definitely a favourite and look stunning, but we also provide a wickedly indulgent chopped nut and coconut berry too.

Check out the new page for further details ,.....

Congratulations to Jo and Ian

Many congratulations to Jo and Ian on their wedding day.  They are one of the nicest couples we have met and we hope you have a fab time in Mexico.  (The CD will be in the post in the next couple of days)!

Now introducing photo CD's with our fountains..

As we're always on the look-out for adding extra value to what we offer, we've decided to offer a FREE photo CD to all our chocolate fountain packages.  We're not professional photographers, but are in an ideal place to take snaps of the fountains in full flow and capturing some great shots.  Many customers have asked whether we could email pictures to them after an event and so we thought why not add this to the service as standard.  Just a little extra from us to you.

The Pear Tree Inn & Country Hotel, Smite

Fruit palm tree

Today, we had a really great time exhibiting at the Pear Tree Wedding Fayre.  It was such a dismal day, we wondered whether it would be a complete wash-out...fortunately it was anything but!

We took along our 53" chocolate fountain with topper, a 2.5ft fruit palm, giant sweet filled martini glass and swan ice sculpture.  Somehow we managed to fit this all onto a 5ft round table...

We met so many people and tempted more than a few off their diets!  The staff at the Pear Tree were absolutely great too, keeping us supplied with coffee and providing hot pork rolls (which was a welcome change from chocolate)!!

The some of the younger girls from the fashion show took away bags full of sweets from our giant martini glass and the fruit palm kept those with not such a sweet tooth happy.  The chocolate, as always, was a huge hit and we tried a few new dips being millionaire shortbread and yum yums...definitely a couple of dips worth adding to our list - delicious!

Congratulations to Su & Baptiste

Many congratulations to Su and Baptiste on their wedding day.  They held their reception at the Trent Valley Social Club and transformed the room with stunning chair covers, sashes, balloons and table confetti. An ice cannon was their free ice sculpture and chilled the pink champagne beautifully.

Congratulations to Astral & Martin

Big Congratulations also to Astral & Martin, who share the same wedding date as Sharon & Paul.

Astral & Martin choose the LeftBank in Hereford for their reception.  Tania took along our 44" chocolate fountain and swan ice sculpture.  The table was decorated in purple and ivory, using organza, gerbera, gypsophilia and crysanths.

A lovely reception and also a great band!

Congratulations to Sharon & Paul

Many congratulations to Sharon & Paul on their Wedding day.  They held their reception at Holmes Park FA, Leicester.  Eddy took along our 36" fountain, which was decorated in a red and white theme.

Another great wedding!

Congratulations to Carine & Tim

Many congratulations to Carine & Tim who held their reception at The Manor House Hotel, Moreton-in-Marsh.

There was a lovely mix of nationalities and Ed got to try out some of his French with some of the guests.

We took along our 44" fountain, decorated in purple, lilac and ivory and finished it off with a couple of ice kebab stations.

Lots of congratulations!

Wow, what a busy weekend!

Congratulations to Michelle and Mark on their recent wedding.  They married at the very romantic, Gretna Green and held an evening reception on Friday at The Eaton Hotel in Birmingham for all their family and friends.  We provided a 44" fountain decorated using a black and silver colour scheme.  We had lots of little helpers on hand, who took a real liking to our catering gloves!

Congratulations to Matt and Lesley on their wedding day on Saturday.  Matt and Lesley held their reception at The Chase Hotel in Ross-on-Wye and Lesley organised a surprise firework display for her new husband.  Eddy and Ben loved the BBQ! I'm just sorry I could come along as I was preparing for our next wedding the following day.  Eddy took along a 44" fountain and decorated this with wine satin, orchids and wine roses and petals.

Congratulations to Claire and Antony who held their reception on Sunday at Ettington Park Hotel, Stratford upon Avon.  Claire's wedding planner (Lara at Foxtail Lily Weddings) contacted us to provide a 44" chocolate fountain.  The theme this time was chocolate brown and cream and we decorated the surround with chocolate gerberas, organza and cream roses.

Here are a few photo's from this weekend's events:

Happy 40th Damon!

Saturday saw us at Damon's 40th Birthday Party held at Crowle Village Hall.  Damon's wife Jot booked us to provide a 44" Chocolate Fountain and Fruit Palm Tree.

Another great party....and a first for us being entertained by a very talented belly dancer Mystique J!  Groove Asia provided the disco, I think this was the third time we've been at the same event now and they are really very, very good and got everyone up dancing.  We must also mention Jonathon of www.barfliesbars.co.uk who provided an excellently stocked bar.

It's really great to see two cultures coming together and having an absolutely fantastic time.  Unfortunately I didn't get the name of the caterers, which is a shame, as they were excellent too - so my apologies (I hate to admit it, but I was too busy eating) ;-)

Thanks to Jot and Damon for providing us with a lovely meal and being such great people.  A Sunday lunch is definitely not needed today....but the diet will start tomorrow, maybe....

fantastic chocoalte fountains

Wedding Fayre and Worcestershire County Cricket Club...

Today we exhibited at the 2nd Worcestershire County Cricket Club Wedding Fayre...

Rather than taking ice as we did last year, we decided to display our Candy Buffet table, the Whopper Fountain (53" Chocolate fountain) and our medium fruit palm tree.  Eddy isn't just 5ft tall, "the Whopper" really is that big!  (Eddy is in fact 5ft 10")....it's a bit of a monster fountain!!!

We had such a fantastic day and didn't stop from the time we arrived until it was time to pack up.  Thanks to everyone who paid us a visit and sampled our sweets, chocolate and fruit palm.  Thanks also for all the lovely comments on our displays - it's days like this that really makes it all so worthwhile!

I was really pleased to meet Vicky and Leanne whose weddings we will be doing in the future, also to Chris who paid a deposit on the spot (nice one Chris)!

I would just like to mention, that we do not use oil in our fountains as suggested by a competitor today and at which we felt quite insulted.  We use the finest Belgian coverture chocolate, which is high in cocoa butter and so oil isn't necessary at all.

Thanks again to Jodi and Nicci for a fabulous event - here's to next year!

Congratulations to Sam and Peter

Many congratulations to Sam and Peter who held their reception at the wonderful Forest of Arden Hotel in Coventry.  Sam chose our largest 5.5ft fruit palm to welcome her guests and followed this later with a 44" fountain and kebab ice stations.

A special mention to the band Wild Clover, who did a great job and also many thanks to Gary at the Forest of Arden, who was so helpful.

Another great wedding...

Congratulations to Debbie & Alan

Congratulations to Debbie & Alan, who jetted off to Florida for their vows and came back to a great party for family and friends, which they held at the Tally Ho Police Training Centre/Sports and Social Club in Birmingham.

Debbie ordered our 36" fountain, mainly for the children.....by the end of the night there seemed to be a lot of children over the age of 30 all tucking in, which was great!  Many thanks to the staff at Tally Ho who were really accommodating to us (and their food was brilliant)!!

Here's a few of the chocolate faces which we captured...priceless!

fantastic chocolate fountains

Congratulations to Alix and Adam

Alix and Adam held their wedding reception at the very grand Dumbleton Hall in Worcestershire.

Alix looked very much the pretty woman in her most beautiful wedding dress and the guys scrubbed up pretty well too!

We originally met Alix last year at a 40th Birthday party that we did for her friend Ester .... (Ester made Eddy's whole year with her fantastic "stud muffin" testimonial - he's still living off that one)!

Another great wedding, lovely venue and a fantastic group of guests.  Special thanks to Alix's baby brother who looked after us so well too and it was great to see Ester again!

Caribbean Queen...

Fruity rum punch, jerk chicken, rice and peas, tropical fruit palm tree, limbo dancing and enormous helium pineapples....welcome to Nicci's Birthday party held in the marquee at Worcestershire County Cricket Club.

Nicci pulled out all the stops for her birthday party on Saturday (well, after all she is the conference and events co-ordinator at the WCCC, so no pressure there then)!

What a day (and night)!  We took along our champagne fountain, a fruit palm tree and 44" chocolate fountain.  We had so much fun putting this together.  Both me and Eddy were decked out in loud Caribbean shirts, the chocolate fountain was dressed with a shiny palm tree topper, orange rose petals, organza and flower garlands...

Also at the party were Steve from Midlands Leisure, taking photo's of the guests in their tropical finery and had set up a screen show of photo's of Nicci for the past.....so many years, another Steve from Backstage Promotions who ran an amazing disco (and competitions) and of course Steve from the WCCC managing his catering staff (and giving Nicci a night off).

A big well done Nic who pulled off one hell of a party and who looked absolutely stunning.  We loved everything minute!

Carribean Chocolate Fountain

Congratulations to Clare and Mark

We had a big wedding on Saturday for Clare & Mark who held their reception at The Coppertops in Worcester.

Clare had decided on a theme of gold and ivory and we provided a beautiful ice column with gold butterflies inside, so it looked as if they were fluttering up inside Worcester chocolate fountainthe column.  We also took along a 4ft chocolate fountain with a selection of 10 dips and topped it off with a traditional Bride & Groom topper.  Despite the weather being so warm, the ice column lasted from 3pm and was still going strong at 11.30pm when we left...there were a few little girls waiting to pull out the butterflies, so I hope someone got one in the end!

The day was made extra special as Clare is my cousin's daughter, so it was a real honour to do something special for the family.  I had a great time having a boogie with my Aunty Arlene who I hadn't seen for a long time - another perfect day!

Congratulations to Caroline & Grant

Congratulations to Caroline and Grant who held their reception in the Walnut Suite at Coombe Abbey in Coventry.

I must admit that we did have particular fun planning for this wedding as we were asked to following a Scottish theme.  We found a fabulous fountain topper (being a glass thistle) which we placed on top the fountain.  We did spend a couple of weekends looking for wild thistles for the displays, but must admit, English thistles are not as impressive as Scottish!

Thanks to Wayne and his team at Coombe Abbey for being such a great help.  Looking forward to seeing you again soon!

Congratulations to Clare and Simon

We're now well into our wedding season, and loving it!

Many congratulations to Clare and Simon!  They had picked a lilac and purple colour scheme which was absolutely lovely.  The reception was held at the Worcestershire County Cricket Club.  What an absolutely beautiful day for a wedding.  It was such a humid night, but all the doors were open in the Graeme Hick pavillion, with a backdrop of a lit Worcester Cathedral at night.  It really is a stunning venue.

Thanks as ever to Nicci and the staff at WCCC for being so helpful (and a great bunch of people too).

Double congratulations to Mary!

A double congratulations to Mary on her Birthday and her wedding day!  Mary's guests arrived at Gaudet Luce Golf Club to celebrate her birthday and left celebrating her wedding too!  Another wonderful evening and fab party.

Thanks to the staff at Gaudet Luce Golf Club for all their help, and if you wondered what happens to the chocolate and dips after the event, here's a clue....

Mobile bar for hire...

I had to make a special mention for Simon of www.mobilebarforhire.com.  These guys were great!  They had such a large selection of real ales, spirits and wine, we were really impressed.  The highlight for me was Simon's special cocktail...this packed a punch!  All I can say is that I'm so relieved to have tried it at the end of the evening - I slept sooo well!!  A mix of four spirits and three mixers - it's worth hiring them just for this!  Gorgeous!!

Congratulations to Sally & Will

Last night saw us at Sally & Will's wedding.  This had the real wow factor!

Sally & Will held their reception in a barn at Netherton.  3 months ago they were lambing in here and last night the transformation was magical.  Special machinery had been hired in to clear the barn, all the walls were painted and then the decoration started.  Sally had made a gorgeous willow/hazel arch entrance to the barn, covered in fairy lights and organza.  There were masses of hanging baskets and pots of lavender and colour co-ordinated flowers.  Every beam inside had fairylights painstakingly attached so the roof lit up in the evening.  Add balloons and balloon arches - and wow!

Supper was a fabulous hog roast then add a mobile bar www.mobilebarforhire.com , a disco and topped off by our chocolate fountain.  What a night!

Special thanks to Claire for the booking and well done to the family in pulling together to make a truly memorable wedding day.

Warwick Medical School - Graduation Ball

Wroxhall Abbey was the venue for Warwick Medical School's Graduation Ball, set in an impressive marquee alonside the Chapel on the Wroxhall Abbey Estate.

Guests entered the marquee through an enormous balloon arch, to collect their glass of Pimms, served from our Champagne Fountain.  Sat alongside the fountain was a lotus ice sculpture filled ripe, chilled strawberries.

We took along our 44" chocolate fountain and 5.5ft Giant Fruit Palm tree.  To accompany the fruits on the palm tree we provided a sharp raspberry coulis and a sticky toffee sauce (which by the way is fab on profiteroles)!

The organising committee really did a great job in providing a great live band, disco, fireworks, garden jenga and to Wii Fit screens.  It was definitely a fantastic way to celebrate a well deserved graduation!

Thanks to Angela and the WMS Organising Committee - we thoroughly enjoyed the Ball and met some great people.  Also thanks to the staff at Wroxhall Abbey who were extremely helpful to us.

Check out the gallery to see our Chocolate Doctors in action!

Congratulations to Smeena & Imran!

Congratulations to Smeena & Imran.

Sunday saw us off to Asha's Restaurant, Birmingham to provide a fountain for Smeena & Imran's wedding reception.  We arranged for the happy couple to turn on their fountain.  We followed a deep red colour theme and decorated the fountain surround with maroon orchids, sweet williams and finished the fountain off with a topper decorated with deep red grass, maraboo feathers and organza.

Thanks to Sam and Imran for booking us and also to the staff at Asha's (especially for the most wonderful take away they provided for us with their compliments).  Asha's is a wonderful contemporary restaurant which now boasts its own civil licence.  If you're in the area and love Indian cuisine, it's a must (and absolutely delicious)!

Lisa and Jordan...

Congratulations to Lisa and Jordan!

For Lisa and Jordan's special day, we supplied a heart cluster ice sculpture together with two ice buckets, decorated to match their colour scheme of black, purple and blue.  They chose to hold their wedding breakfast at Jephson Gardens in The Restaurant in the Park, Leamington Spa.

The restaurant sits in the park alongside the river and takes full advantage of its position with ceiling to floor glass windows - a really lovely venue.

A new van joins the fleet...

We are relieved to say that we have managed to find another van to join our small but expanding fleet.

We have kept the last two weekends free to find an additional vehicle and do all the things necessary to bring it up to scratch to transport our fountains and palm trees.  Thankfully, it's all gone like clockwork and the only thing left to do now is the signwriting.  We will have to attack this after the wedding season as we've now simply run out of time and have very few spare weekends left until November.

If anyone knows of a good vehicle graphics company around the Worcester area then please email tania@fantasticchocolatefountains.co.uk with the details!

Strawberry Season is pretty much here....

After a long, cold winter I was most relieved to see that the UK's first strawberries are starting to hit the shelves.  Not that there's anything wrong with imported strawberries of course, it's just that we like to support local growers wherever possible (plus we know just how fresh they will be)!    Everything in the garden seems to be around 3 weeks late in sprouting this year!

Congratulations to Romy and Geoff

Yesterday saw us at Romy & Geoff's Wedding, which took place at The LeftBank in Hereford.  This venue is sat next to the River Wye with several floors and glass balconies which overlook the river; on the hottest day of the year so far, it was absolutely beautiful.

Romy had chosen a chocolate and sage green colour scheme for her special day and I must say the colours really worked so well together and looked superb.  We took along our 44" medium fountain and decorated the display with chocolate brown and sage green gerbera, also using lots of greenery - we topped off the fountain with a brown feather and leaf display.  We also took a Lotus flower ice sculpture filled with strawberries, keeping them nicely chilled.

This was a lovely glamorous wedding, set by the river on a beautiful sunny day - what more could you want...

Happy 21st Birthday Manoj!

Happy 21st Birthday to Manoj Aman Jhagra (the handsome one in the centre)....

What a party!  It was an absolutely fantastic evening and we had so much fun doing this. With over 160 guests, this was definitely one party to remember.   The room at the Bia Lounge was beautifully decorated with turquoise chair sashes, oversized martini glass table centres filled with blue glass beads and the table arrangement was spot on.

We provided our 4ft fruit palm tree, which was covered with strawberries, grapes, galia and cantaloupe melon, kiwi and fresh pineapple and served with raspberry and mango coulis; also our medium 44" chocolate fountain, which we decorated in a turquoise theme and with a white feather topper; and finally two crystal clear ice cannons, again with a turquoise accent theme.

The Bia Lounge certainly looked after us very well and we had a gorgeous plate of pakora, samosa and dhal - big thanks to Akmal and his staff!  It was really delicious!

We were wondering whether to join Blue Peter as presenters at one point, as the children at the party have now given us 101 different ways using serviettes, paper plates and skewers - they were a great friendly bunch and really did make us laugh.

Also special thanks to Kamla for booking us for this party - we're so pleased you loved what we did for you and we will definitely see you again for your next 21st Birthday party!  It was a pleasure.

Chocolate, fruit and ice....

Well tomorrow we're off to a 21st Birthday in Small Heath.  We're taking along our 4ft fruit palm tree, 44" chocolate fountain and ice canons.

We've had this booking for a little while and have been really looking forward to doing this job.

Check back on Sunday for the photo's....they're going to be great!

Congratulations to Louisa and Simon

We had a lovely time The Fownes Hotel, Worcester providing the 44" Chocolate Fountain, Swan Ice Sculpture and 2ft Sweetie Palm tree for Louisa and Simon's evening reception.  What a gorgeous day for a wedding.

Congratulations to Louisa and Simon, who are a really lovely couple and thanks to Tina (who is a complete star) for booking us.  Also thanks to Julie at Fownes for her great organisation.

Hope you have a great time at the Theatre tonight!

Ally's Kebab

Chocolate and cheese does tend to work together (mild cheddar is best). So far, everyone who has been brave enough to try has loved it.  So at a recent 50th Birthday, Ally decided to come up with a new twist .... the Ally kebab.

Not for the faint hearted, but we were amazed, it was actually quite nice in a very weird kind of way!!

You will need:

  • Mild Cheddar cheese
  • Grapes
  • and, here's the killer, silver skin onions!
  • warm Belgian chocolate

Load up a kebab and pour over the warm chocolate.  I'm still puzzling over how this all actually works together, but give it a go - you may be pleasantly surprised!!

Thanks to Ally for this one!

If anyone has any recommendations for new dipping items or combinations, then let us know. We'd love to hear your ideas (and of course, we'd have to try it out for ourselves)!

Worcester Breast Care Unit at Bowl Xtreme

What a great time we had last night supporting the Worcester Breast Care Unit.  The event was superbly organized by Sarah Thompson and held at the Edgar Suite at Bowl Xtreme, Worcester.   Through Sarah's hard work, she managed to raise over £5,000 on the night, which was much more than I think anyone expected.  A big well done to her!

The event had it all from a lovely hot buffet meal, professional photographer, amazing dancers, disco, a compare from BBC Hereford and Worcester, fabulous live band (and not forgetting our 4ft Chocolate Fountain and Lotus ice sculpture).  Sarah had also organised a great raffle, with lots of fantastic prizes donated by local businesses and finishing with an exciting auction...Eddy won a voucher for £20 of beauty care services.  Mmm..I think he may need to donate that one to a more needy cause...me.

Our brand new fountain topper took it's first outing and made a great impact sat on top of the chocolate fountain.  We decorated this with cerise ostrich feathers to match the colours of the Breast Care Unit.  There so many things we can create for the topper using flowers, feathers or perhaps even a Bride & Groom, so it's going to make a great addition to our fountain displays.  So to all our forthcoming clients, your fountain has just grown and will be made that little bit more special for you.

I just wanted to thank the staff at Bowl Xtreme, who were really nice people and so helpful to us.  We hope to see you again, soon!

Welcome to our chocolate blog!

This is our first blog posting, keeping you updated on Fantastic Chocolate Fountains events, news and interesting information.

We are proud to introduce our Chocolate Fountain Topper.  This is an extension to the top of our chocolate fountains which extend its height using a whole range of different items, such as flowers, feathers, bride & groom etc.  Think of it as a topper to a wedding cake, but on a Chocolate Fountain!

The topper is taking it's first outing this evening at a charity event we are attending for the Worcester Breast Care unit.  The topper will contain cerise pink ostrich feathers to tie in with the Charity's colour scheme, so check back tomorrow to see the photo's!  It's going to be impressive.

As far as we can tell, we are the second company in the UK using fountain toppers...so if you want to stand out from the crowd, give us a call!
